    Simple and effective

Nice simple setup and most important is - effective shock absorbing - even after an entire summer of landings from a new pilot like me who had no RC plane experience less than 7 months ago. I decided to buy a bunch so I can replace the springs during the winter off season.

Overall, its priced inexpensively enough and best to buy a few while they got 'em in stock. A+

    I buy in bulk

I am a rough lander and continue to break these springs. There seems to be a very sharp bend inside the spring where they always let go. As cleaver a design as the Timbers landing gear is, there are too many parts involved and a lot of them at pretty fragile. The two little tiny stops that prevent the gear from tucking in under the plane break easRead more about review stating I buy these in bulkily, as do the little tiny plastic clamp that holds the spring together and it is not sold desperately. you end up having to buy one of the kits to get it and pretty soon the is a big pile of parts that you don't need. AGGH!

    Butterfly landing gear

The Timber is supposed to be a STOL Bush Plane. An all terrain dirt road lander. I pride myself on my soft / controlled landings, but have still broken a few props due to this soft landing gear. Other than the ridiculously soft springs on the landing gear, the 1.2 meter Timber X is a great airplane. It's a Bush Plane with Butterfly landing gear.
