It’s not only larger than the Timber X 1.2m, Turbo Timber 1.5m, and Twin Timber 1.6m models but also features a more flexible and powerful 4S to 6S compatible power system. Plus, it’s equipped with even more “super” features and capabilities that set it apart from all the rest including inflatable tires with beadlock wheels, heavy-duty and articulated shock-absorbing landing gear, slats that can be installed without glue and removed easily in seconds, fastener-free wing and tail attachment, and more. The E-flite Super Timber 1.7m is equipped with a long list of “super” details that make it the most feature-rich and capable Timber yet! Starting with inflatable tundra tires and unique beadlock wheels mounted on heavy-duty articulated and shock-absorbing landing gear that are angled forward to help prevent nose-overs. It’s the best and strongest landing gear that’s ever been installed on a Timber model to deliver maximum durability and STOL capability when flying from almost any terrain! The optional-use slats can be clipped into place without the use of any glue, then can be removed and even reinstalled in seconds. All the LED lights you’ve come to expect are there, along with additional position and landing lights for added visibility. The horizontal stabilizer halves snap into place, plus the plug-in wing panels featuring hands-free servo connections are secured with innovative wing lock mechanisms so no fasteners or tools are required to install/remove them. There’s even a custom-designed clip in the fuselage that holds the wing joiner tube so you never forget it when the wing is removed for more convenient storage and transport! Skill Level 2 – Some Experience Required

Skill Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar class models. And although this BNF Basic version is equipped with optional-use SAFE Select, it's not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots, or "next step after a trainer" model for low-time RC pilots. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly STOL-capable models like the E-flite Timber X 1.2m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m, Twin Timber 1.6m, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the Super Timber 1.7m.

The slats clip into place for easy installation without the use of glue or tools – and can easily be removed then reinstalled in seconds! Super Versatile Gear

From thick grass to gravel paths and dirt trails—even local lakes and ponds—you can easily fly off of these and many other surfaces with the Super Timber 1.7m. Smart Technology

Both the PNP and BNF^® Basic versions of the Turbo Timber^® Evolution 1.5m are equipped with an exclusive Spektrum^™ Avian^™ 60-Amp Smart ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more via compatible Smart receivers (such as the AR637TA installed in the BNF Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare^™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly. It also features optional-use motor reversing to offer special ground handling and other capabilities.

Versatile Gear Options

Thick grass, gravel paths, dirt trails — even local lakes and ponds — you can fly from these and many other surfaces that are impossible for most models of this size to handle. Overview

The E-flite^® Timber^® X 1.2m unleashes a new era of STOL plus 3D aerobatic capability. Based on the extremely popular Timber 1.5m model but featuring a new wing design, oversized control surfaces plus a 3S and 4S compatible power system, it offers an even wider flight envelope to deliver a truly "mild to wild" experience. Hollow-core EPO construction with composite reinforcement results in a lightweight yet strong airframe that's capable of handling extreme aerobatic maneuvers while keeping the wing loading low for impressive Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) and slow flight performance. It's also equipped with high-torque, metal-geared servos plus the shock-absorbing landing gear of the original model so you can fly as aggressively as you want from almost any surface. You can even install the included leading edge slats for improved slow flight performance, or the optional floats (EFL5261, sold separately) so you can fly from water. eXtreme Maneuverability

The Timber^® X 1.2m features a new wing design with a shortened span plus much larger ailerons and flaps, along with an enlarged elevator and rudder. Double-beveled hinge lines make it possible to deflect every control surface, including the flaps that can now travel in both directions, to high angles for outstanding control and eXtreme 3D aerobatic capability. Pockets in the rear of the fuselage and the included optional-use steel stabilizer joiner give you additional options to fine-tune the model's performance for even wilder 3D setups–or on low rates the controls can be as smooth and docile as they are on the original so you can fly as mild or as wild as you'd like!

eXtra Power

The factory-installed brushless power system features a 50-amp ESC plus a specially-tuned motor and prop that deliver an abundance of thrust with a 3S LiPo battery, or eXtra power and unlimited vertical performance with a 4S battery without the need for any modifications or upgrades.

Inspired by the incredible ingenuity and effort Mike Patey put into building the full-sized aircraft, E-flite® offers the only officially-licensed scale replica of the ultimate bush plane! The amazing DRACO 2.0m is one of the most highly-engineered, detailed and feature-rich RC models ever produced. Beyond its complex design and the accurate shape of its fully-molded, lightweight and durable EPO airframe with a factory-applied finish, it also features an abundance of Extra Scale details including a variety of surface features, steps, antennas, wingtip "stinger" skids, and much more. The clear windshield and windows offer an excellent view of the detailed cockpit with pilot figure and backlit instrument panel. Functional Extra Scale features include licensed, scale-like KING shocks on the main gear and tail wheel, leading-edge slats, slotted flaps and more. There are also a total of 17 LEDs throughout the airframe — with a custom controller that allows you to select solid, strobing and other light combination options from your transmitter. The exclusive Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart ESC provides a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including motor RPM, current draw, overall flight battery voltage and more via compatible receivers (including the AR637TA installed in the BNF® Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, the NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly. It will even show individual cell voltages, temperature of the flight pack and other data when using Spektrum Smart LiPo batteries. Plus, optional-use motor reversing offers special ground handling and other capabilities (compatible Smart receiver and 7+ channel transmitter required for reversing).

Versatile Power System

The factory-installed Spektrum™ Avian™ 100-amp Smart ESC and high-power brushless outrunner motor can drive the large-diameter four-blade propeller with a wide range of batteries. Install a 4S battery for slow and smooth scale flying, a 5S battery for added power, or a 6S battery to deliver better-than-scale vertical performance. Best of all you can install a 4000mAh battery to keep the weight and wing loading down, a 5000mAh battery for a great balance of performance and handling, or up to a 7000mAh battery to achieve long flight times up to 10-15+ minutes.

Extra Scale Details

The DRACO 2.0m features an abundance of Extra Scale details including molded-in panel lines, hatches and other surface features, steps, antennas, wingtip skids, and much more. A clear windshield and windows plus a detailed cockpit with backlit instrument panel and pilot figure add to the incredible scale appearance.

Functional Scale Features

Licensed, scale-like KING shocks on the main gear and tail wheel, leading-edge slats, slotted flaps and more are functional Extra Scale features that take your experience to another level.

LED Lights

There are a total of 17 LEDs throughout the airframe to simulate navigation, landing, down, tail beacon, reversing and other lights. They're connected to a custom light controller with different settings you can control from the transmitter to choose which lights turn on and off with various functions, glow solid, strobe and more.

Capable Gear

Like the full-scale DRACO, the articulated and shock-absorbing main gear is equipped with oversized, tundra-style tires to soak up the bumps of rough surfaces and provide excellent prop clearance. It's also custom-made from fully-molded carbon fiber to handle short takeoffs from and landings on a variety of surfaces. The shock-equipped and steerable tailwheel offers excellent ground handling, whether moving forward or when utilizing the optional-use motor reversing to taxi backward too.

Durable Precision

Construction with fully-molded EPO material makes it possible to replicate the complex details and shapes of the full-scale DRACO in a lightweight yet durable form. The result is an outstanding scale appearance that's easy to maintain and delivers the best possible flight experience, plus the factory-installed metal-geared servos with ball-link equipped, internal linkages deliver crisp and precise control.

Plus, just like the original, the Night Timber^® X 1.2m is also equipped with realistic-looking LED landing, navigation and strobe lights.

eXtra Exclusive Technologies

The Night Timber^® X 1.2m is equipped with exclusive Spektrum^™ AS3X^® and SAFE^® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, simply bind the receiver normally and only AS3X will be active.

Optional Floats

Owners of an original or Turbo Timber^® 1.5m model can use the float set that came with it on the Night Timber X 1.2m, or the EDO-style floats are also available separately (EFL5261) and include the required mounting struts plus a dual-rudder steering system for excellent handling and easy takeoffs and landings on water.

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits

These envelope limits keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling

The airplane instantly returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's also helpful for keeping the wings level during takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Switch Assignment—No Complex Programming Required

The simple procedure for assigning a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't require any complex programming and takes just a few seconds.

If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver normally and it will function like a standard AS3X receiver.
